The objectives of the project were:
- To identify causes and locations of the repetitive water logging in Thane city in the last 20 years.
- To undertake study of flood prone areas and to assess the impact of water logging in the city.
- To recommend engineering solutions for preventing water logging in Thane city.
- To prepare environment management plan for Thane city with reference to water logging.
