The objective of the project was to motivate general public for undertaking vermi-culture projects in co-operative housing societies and provide technical guidance for management of these projects. It was observed that out of 25 vermi-culture projects undertaken in 15 housing societies for 921 families, in 11 societies the projects were successful and in 4 societies they were discontinued. MUKTA had undertaken 50 awareness programmes covering 4592 people from cooperative housing societies, children and teachers from schools and colleges, community leaders, general public, etc. The project was successful in generating awareness amongst the resident of the Co-op. Hsg. Societies.
