Applications for projects are accepted throughout the year. Applications are to be submitted in the prescribed format along with supporting annexure to strengthen the proposal.
The applicant(s) is/are expected to have done some preliminary work before submitting the proposal such as an inception study, identification of secondary data, rapid photographic documentation of the case and formulation of clear aims, objectives and scope of activities that would be undertaken.
In case of organizations, the applicants need to get a resolution from the organization that such a project is proposed and will be undertaken if accepted. In case of collaborations / partnerships, the applicants need to get a resolution from their individual organizations (if the project is being undertaken by the organization) along with a memorandum of understanding between organizations (or individuals) regarding the sharing of resources, responsibilities, products and other aspects of the project.
Mobilization of support and commitment from important stakeholders are prerequisite for relevant projects. Letters of commitment, recommendation and support would be required for relevant projects. The commitment of stakeholders could be demonstrated through sharing costs, sharing resources, sharing responsibilities, promising intellectual inputs in the project and promising that the project would be followed up after its completion.
