The main objective of the project is to revive and restore the eco-balance of the polluted lake admeasuring 4 hectares using the bio-remediation Technique. The project involved the following; Physical cleaning of the lake by removing unwanted floating matter, water hyacinth and other weeds from the water body Installation of aeration system and continuous aeration activity through diffusers, Redirecting a nallah to prevent the ingress of waste water into the lake Use of bio-product into the lake for removal of phosphates and limiting algal growth. Significant improvement has been observed in the water quality after adopting Bio Remediation process. The project proponent has constructed a closed nallah near the lake to divert the waste water and given the lake for conservation purpose on BOT basis. .
