The main objective of the project was to utilise human waste and urine for producing manure and biogas through the ecological sanitation technique. The Ecological Sanitation (Ecosan) technique involves separation of human waste and urine. The human waste is then used for producing gas via biogas plant. And the urine is used for making manure for use by farmers. The gas was proposed to be utilized in the kitchen.
The project involved construction of toilet blocks with Eco-San Technology, development of a new garden and Hall.
