The project was undertaken as a demonstration project. It established the efficacy of the vermiculture technology for municipal waste management in a decentralised manner at Ward level. This also shows the way for creating a useful soil conditioner out of vegetable market waste. The vermiculture generated through this project was handed over to the MCGM.
